Emailing Sage Invoices - Why not try something simpler instead?

by Stuart Whitman on April 21, 2010

Rather them emailing Sage invoices a better solution maybe to think of an easier way to do things. Now if like me you just want things that work and are nice and simple then I’d suggest taking a look at Kashflow Bookkeeping software.

Kashflow

How Kashflow works for Collateit

I’ve tried numerous different systems but for the last 2 years I’ve used Kashflow and it just makes everything so easy. And it has now automated several functions within the business so it saves hours every week. This means I can concentrate on running my business while tasks “just happen”.

For example when someone makes a purchase through Collate:

  • collateit.co.uk “talks” to Kashflow and automatically creates a customer account if one doesn’t exist
  • A Sales Invoice is created and cash receipted if payment has been made by credit/debit card
  • Invoice is automatically emailed to the buyer
  • If we are getting low on stock the ecommerce site “talks” to Kashflow and creates a Purchase Order

An what input do I have on the above. Nothing. It’s all completely automatic!

What’s the Benefit

If your still thinking that’s all well and good for you but I don’t see how this will benefit me then maybe this quick list will help.

  • It’s simple – it really can’t be made any easier. If you hate Sage because of the complexity (and a lot of people tell me they do!) I reckon you’ll like using Kashflow
  • It’s web based – You don’t install anything and it works on any computer with a browser and internet connection
  • No “support fees” – if like the rest of the world you hate paying hundreds of pounds a year on so-called support and upgrades then your in luck. Kashflow costs £15.99 / month. That’s it. All support is included and upgrades happen automatically every few weeks with new features to make it easier.
  • Automatic backups – every Monday Kashflow emails me a backup of my system. Not that I’ve ever used it but it’s there just in case.
  • Unlimited users – You can have as many people logged in as you wish
  • Works anywhere – as it’s web based you can access it at the office, at home or while away on holiday.
  • No forms required – now at this point your probably thinking, “He’s gone mad. He’s talking himself out of sales of compatible forms”, and your probably right. But, I just want you to try something and see how it might benefit you business.

Testdrive Kashflow FREE for 60 days

At then end of the day it makes no difference to me whether you use Sage, Kashflow or any other package out there. But it’s definitely worth giving Kashflow a try and seeing if you can make your accounting a little less painless.
